Default Weakish Play?

I've been having a bad run as of late, so I dropped down in limits and am evaluating my play for leaks. The following hand is a situation I run into quite a bit, and I'm wondering if I am losing more money on missed bets, than I am saving by playing it "safe".

1/2 PP Loose/Passive table, no reads I just sat down

Dealt Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in LP (I just sat so I posted a BB)

UTG calls, EP calls, MP calls, I check, LP calls, SB completes, BB checks. 7 to the flop.

FLOP
8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, EP bets, MP calls, I raise, LP calls two cold, both blinds and UTG fold, EP and MP call. 4 to the turn.

TURN
T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Checked to me, I check ( am I losing money here in the long run?), LP checks.

RIVER
2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Checked to me, I check, LP checks.

My two pair ended up being good, however I feel like I played this hand VERY weak . Should I bet the turn more often and fold to a raise in situations like this?

bet the turn. If raised, call a raise and call the river.

If not raised, bet the river.

Just cause a hand is possible doesn't mean it's out there. You missed a few bets on this hand, and the times you get the bets will even out the times someone has a jack, IF you get the bets when you win.

Bet the turn for information. If a straight is out there, you will get raised more often than not.

Bet the turn, you cant slow down just cuz someone might have hit their gutshot. If you get raised...sure dont reraise.
