Default Backgammon

A friend, who's an excellent backgammon player, but a novice gambler, is interested in playing for money online. Any recommendations on where to play, or where to find tips for making the transition from recreational player to "part time job" type player?

Thanks,
B

Default TrueMoneyGames.com

My friend sometimes plays at TrueMoneyGames where you can
find players playing anywhere from $0.50 to $100 a point
(although the higher stakes are quite rare!) and you can
also play matches. Unfortunately, the rake is quite high
for small stakes and I estimate that for every $1.00 my
friend has netted, he has paid between $.15 and $.20 in rake
to the site. Nevertheless, I recommend that you check out
that site. Of course, the other well-known site is FIBS.
Also, it appears that (almost) nobody is cheating by
consulting bots!
