Default Ho Chunk Wisconsin?

Anyone have any info? I remember reading one report a while back when it first opened stating the games were nuts.

I'm thinking of taking a ride north in one of the next three weekends and was wondering if anyone had any info or tips and what kind of action I can expect. I'm hoping for something in the 5-10 to 10-20 range.

I was there a couple of weeks ago, on a Sunday night. Most of the night we played short handed, 4-6 players, 5-10 he with full kill.
Mostly all were very weak. A couple saw every flop. It was easy to win the kill game by just raising the turn. No one would call $40
They were all calling stations other than that.
I stayed overnight, hoping to play on Monday am (the room closes at 4am on weekdays)
but I was told they probably wouldn't have a 5-10 game until 5pm

The 10/20 is great with a bunch of locals who should be broke but aren't because there is a total lack of sharks there. Tourists pay the rake and the locals just shift money around on a nightly basis. A typical game will consist of 3 absolute rocks, 1 bonafide maniac, 2 call stations and the rest LAGs...there are maybe 1 or 2 players who I really respect out there.

The 5/10 varies from what I have played out there, but can usually beaten for maybe .5BB more per hour than the 10/20.

Make sure to call ahead 2 hours before your arrival and try to get there in the early afternoon...its your only chance to get in to the 10/20, which will spread a maximum of 2 tables. The wait is usually rough regardless of when you show up, as the casino can't keep up with demand.

Drop me a PM and I'll try to meet up with you.

Doug
