Default win when earning deposit bonus, then collapse?

how many of you have experienced the phenomenon of consistently winning when earning a deposit bonus, cards seem to go your way, then once you clear the bonus you suddenly get a horrible run of cards, or else a lot of bad beats ?

People actually play online when not clearing a bonus? Who are these people? I'm confused.

It could be something like this.

You play nice and tight when clearing the bonus careful not to bust out until you can get the bonus. You are painfully aware that it would be terrible to put in the work to clear the bonus and end up with a net loss.

Once you clear the bonus, you feel like you got free money. You start to play a little bit lose, you lose bonus.

Now you are mad. You go on a tilt... and... rest is history.

Just a theory.

Sam, were you watching me when I first started playing online? Your "theory" is what I experienced the first time I earned a bonus deposit.

I lost $50 last night while clearing $8 of deposit bonus at UB last night. I guess I'm an outlier.

LOL -

That seems like the story of my poker career.

My friend and I have been the traditional "bonus whores" as of late. However, we are getting more people interested in the whole thing and working on the RAF deals.

Now we consider ourselves upgraded from Bonus Whores to Bonus Pimps!

You didn't by any chance just cash-out. If so the cash-out curse overides any deposit bonus boost you were entitled to. Just another online tip to remember.

Cash-out? Is that some kind of poker lingo? Man, half the stuff posted here goes right over my head.
