What would you do?
you are SB posting 250 mid way through a NL tourny. You are dealt QQ. Everyone folds around to the guy 1 before the button and he raises to 1200 (has about 3600). This guy is very loose and would raise w/ QT or so here. Next guy raises all in to 4500, the hand before he had suffered a very sizeable loss and may have been on tilt. He is also very loose. What do you do with QQ? Your current stack size is 8850 and the avg for the tourny is 7k. I decided to fold but I am not convinced this was the correct play.

Re: What would you do?
I think we need to know what the tournament payout schedule was like in order to answer this question. How far are you from the money? Would winning this hand put you in position to win a much larger piece of the prize pool?

Still pretty far from any real money but I was being blinded quick. |

Queens are pretty good. Folding is pretty bad.

Re: What would you do?
Push your stack in and take on the two all-inners (original raiser will likely call since 1/3 of his stack is in there). Your QQ will easily win more than 1/3 of the time here.

Re: What would you do?
Given the info presented, this is a no brainer all-in for me. So many hands we have in trouble.

Help me Ray!
Alright - now lets suppose we are talking about a major tournament here, not some $1,000 payout at the old Flamingo Hilton in Reno where you and I both used to take down weeklys - lets suppose this is a $1,500 buy-in WSOP with a nice payout schedule. There are 80 players left, 48 places pay. Should I still risk my whole tourny on this hand?

Re: Help me Ray!
Given the description of the opponents, in a heartbeat.
Please don't rebut me with changing these opponents into tight old rocks, as that wasn't the question. Even the toughest fields in the WSOP include loose aggressive players. Later, Greg Raymer (FossilMan) |

Re: What would you do?
I would have a hard time folding here. Push it all in.
