Default Question for the bonus whores: switching from party to empire

I'm trying to switch from Party to Empire. I have uninstalled Party, and cleaned Party out of my registry. Yet when I install Empire, it says that it won't open me an Empire account because it detects Party.

What am I missing? Is it because I was logged on to Party but an hour before?

You don't need to uninstall Party or clear your party acct. You just can't have the same account name.

Well, that's really weird, because they explicitly said that they detected an account with another poker room that shares their tables. And that was why Empire wouldn't open an account for me. (I used a different name)

I thnk the b******* have changed their policy so that you can no longer sign up to a new party skin .

So if you do not already have a Empire account your stuffed

This is a new policy...If you want to open an Empire account, you might be able to if you ask to Close your Party account.

I just tried to check the new policy by opening an InterTops account and it wouldn't let me.

However, with GP, if you want to open a real money account at one of their other skins, you have to close your first one. Perhaps if you are willing to close your Party account, they would let you.

You might also try to tell them you want to go to Australia and also on the PPM cruise, and need both accounts. Or, you might tell them you want to play the multi table tournaments from both sites, or that you want to play more than 3 tables at a time....that one actually makes more money for them both!

Probably your best shot.

There's been a few threads mentioning this error. It seems that it may no longer be possible to open accounts at all of the party skins like so many of us did in the past. There's still paradise, UB, TGC, pstars and true though

Default How are they enforcing this?

How asinine.

Well, I'll just open up an Empire account Monday when I login from a different computer and IP address. We'll see what happens when I eventually have both accounts open and try to switch off playing at the different sites.

How are they enforcing this? My guess is that they've just logged my IP address.

Do they not want us to play at more than one skin? I thought Empire was actually a separate company from Party? If so, you'd think Empire would want to steal Party's players.

I would think they watch email addresses and deposit account numbers to track 'a person'.
