Default Empire affiliates

Someone claiming to be from Empire Poker sent me an email about affiliates, I replied, and then they responded by signing me up (http://www.empirepoker.com/index.htm?wm=1702775).

I was promised this:
"You will get 25% from the monthly rake profit and if the monthly profit will be above $7,500 the commission will be 30%"

Is this the normal deal?

You think we do not know what you are trying to do?

Take you and your link elsewhere.

I'll see if I can edit my previous post and take out the link. I wasn't trying to advertise, I just wasn't thinking.

Seriously, is this the normal program?

Apparently maximum edit time has expired, so I can't take out the link. Anyway, I highly doubt anyone would click it. Everyone here is smart enough not to bother.

I wonder if this mean no one will answer.

I will answer.

It is a bad deal.

I think he is trying to trick you with words, IMO when he says 25% i think he means 25% of his take not 25% of your total rake. So i think he is only giving you 25% of his 25% which is app. 6% of your rake.

Most of the affiliates here will offer you 50% of their cut.

how does the affiliates thing work then? I thought I could sign up to be one, but it doesn't look that easy.

Sorry, I've never paid attention to it before.

In short, yes this is a standard deal.

rJ, he's wanting Ingo to sing up as a subaffiliate, not as a player through his affiliate program.

However, as a matter of principle, I wouldn't sign up through an email from someone who claimed to be from EmpirePoker when they were only an affiliate.

You can sign up as an affiliate to Empire. If you don't get a contact name from an existing affiliate, it will take twice as long to sign up directly through Empire's website.

Thanks very much. I guess I'll sign up as an affiliate myself. I definitely won't do this thing I got. It seemed fishy. I had a feeling it was something like a subaffiliate deal, but I'd never heard of subaffiliates. I guess I should pay more attention.

You may as well do it, but just, from someone who will give you more. They have a program where if an affiliate refers another person into the affiliates program, the first person gets something like 20% of whatever the second person makes. This 20% is not taking money away from the second. Just adding it to the first.

So you may as well find someone you know, have them refer you, then split that extra 20% 50-50.

25% is weak. There are others, such as myself, that will offer you > 50%. Don't want to spam so PM me for details.
