UTG makes it $4 to go.UTG+1 makes it $16 to go.A fold and I cold call the $16 with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].Cutoff folds, the button calls, small blind folds, big blind calls, and it's back to the original UTG raiser. He raises $9.80 more and is all in.Everyone calls and we take the flop 5 handed with $129 in the pot. Re: PLO Hand..
Is there a question?
This hand is ABC. Someone might say the preflop call is marginal, but if they're going to pay off like a slot machine its great. I'd rather checkraise the flop, just to make sure it gets all in, but betting out is fine too. Nice hand, nice pot, but Ii see no dillema here. |

Re: PLO Hand..
I know it was pretty straight forward.Just looking for comments on the preflop call(i was actually thinking about reraising),the flop bet(should i have bet a little less maybe?..I wanted some dumb calls there, wasn't sure i was gonna get them if i potted it,but i did),and the preflop play by the button holding the trip aces in his hand.

Re: PLO Hand..
Yeah, pretty straightforward.
Nothing wrong with the call preflop either - you want to be taking flops with hands like that when you can suspect big stuff in the other hands. $16's not too much to call when your opp might overplay his hand postflop. Tighter postflop opponents might not make it worth your while, though. |

Re: PLO Hand..
i wouldn't call the $16 with this hand, but if you're at a table where someone with AAAx will play like this, more power to you.
i can't disagree with your play when your opponents are like this, but how good can you feel unless you flop a seven, a made straight, or something like 64x? and if you do flop a seven, you may have to deal with bigger sets/full houses, flushes, straights, etc. hopefully you realize that the AAAJ should have folded preflop. with shorter money, a pot-reraise is a close second. but flat calling the $16 with this hand is a terrible play. the button got what he deserved on this one. i don't care much for the 8753's play either, but he makes the game worth playing. the QQT9 played it fine given his money circumstances. |
