Default And the hits just keep on comin\'

Yes, another pity post.

Anyone who followed my whining from last week knows that I went into a truly amazing-yet-comical string of bad beats, one after the other, destroying both my confidence and my bankroll.

Well I swore off poker for the weekend, and spent some time with the SO. So today I poke a few minutes early out of work and head home to set things straight on the tables.

I plop down at a $30 SnG and win it. Ok, I'm back! I register for the upcoming multi, and sit down at another $30 SnG. I get AJ out of the gate, flop two pair, someone bets into me and I double up. Now we're cooking!

3... 2... 1... BLACKOUT. flicker once, die. flicker twice, die. Game over.

Now this blackout lasts just long enough for me to lose all of my chips in both my strong lead single and the multi. Then of course it flips back on.

The fun begins again!

Power's back on, ready to recover the blackout losses...

Last 4 players, I'm short-stacked with about 800 chips. I get AQs, flop comes Q T 4, two spades. Guy puts me all in, I call, as he's been a complete joker the whole tourney with some lucky catches. He catches 9 for the one-sider straight on A J.

Moving on...

The reason bad beats occur, is the weakness of not being able to fold a hand. The only money or chips you can lose, are the ones you put in the pot..... A good techniqque is get minimal chips in the pot if you are sketched out by a hand. Its tough, but you have to face the facts sometimes. The other day, I put 150 on a 5/10 table just to screw around. My first hand I get 44, I bet it out, this guy reraises i just call. Flop is K 4 2, I bet he raises, we max it... next card is a K..... we max it and at this point I know what he has.... He has AK..... because he was reraising my raise preflop.... Next card was an ace..... I check..... he bets... and I only have like 15 $ from my 150 and I fold..... he shows me AK..... With that 15$, I entered a multitable and won 600. End of story....

Cleric,

Your first couple of posts have been exactly like this. Get off your high horse and try to offer some real advice for a change or you will not be taken seriously at these forums. I'm sure that doesn't matter to you, but all we need is another motor mouth moron thats going to come back in a couple of weeks complaining about how he lost all of his money to terrible players. When that happens remember this hand you posted.
