Default Streaks... Most out of money on SNG (one table) in a row

Wow are losing streaks tough. I am at 6 now and still going. How long are people's here's longest?

Losing 6 in a row is more common than winning two in a row, but it sure feels 10X worse.

I was forced to take a week long hiatus when I lost 17 in a row.

That hiatus conveniently coincided with finals.

2 weeks ago I won 6 in a row. Last week I didnīt make it into the money 12 consecutive times and 17 out 18 tourneys. These swings happen. So be prepared to have swings in your bankroll. But thatīs no problem as long as you mannage to play your a-game while failing to succed.

Since not making it to the final 3 can get quite frustrating I usually mix it up with playing more cash games, which helps both, my bankroll and my level of frustration.

Best regards

I managed 11 in a row with no return once. I also managed 11 first places in a row once. I've been playing these things since they were first introduced on Paradise, three years ago I guess.

I expect bigger streaks than this as time goes by.

Guy.

I've played over 1000 SNGs on Party at the $30 and $50 level and I believe my longest drought was around 14 in a row. My longest first place streak I think is only 4.

I must say I am glad to hear that I am not the only one experiencing these losing streaks. I do not have nearly the experience that some of the posters on this thread have. After finishing in the money several times in a row, it's always a little disheartening to finish out of it several times in a row.

Hi AnyAce,

Cold waves happen to everyone, no matter how well you play, no matter where you play. Surviving cold waves without losing your bankroll and your mind is the key element to being a long-term winner.

What I do is:

(1) Take a couple of days off.
(2) Think abut my game, go over how I was playing, and look for leaks in my play.
(3) Return at lower stakes until I'm confident that I'm playing well.
(4) Win back everything I'd lost, plus interest.

Step (4) is the really satisfying part....
