Did I make the right move?
I played in my first one table tournament last weekend. Eight player, limit 7 card stud, with table winner receiving $500 voucher for entry into Taj main tournament.
Here is the situation: Heads up with my opponent having 1600 to 800 chip lead on me. Ante is 15 with 25 bring in playing 100 - 200. On the previous hand my opponent announced that he had to leave and would be raising blind on every street. He gets the bring-in with a 2 and I call with an Ace and Queen in the hole. On 4th street I get an Ace and he gets an off suit 3. I bet 100 and he raises. At this point I continued to reraise until I had my 800 in the pot. My thinking: 1 Get all my money in with the pair of Aces 2 If I win the hand I take a 2 to 1 chip lead and can wait for a favorable situation before I get his remaining chips into the pot. Was this the right plan? As it turned out I didn't improve the A's and he won the pot with two pair. |

Re: Did I make the right move?
If you're sure that what he said is the truth, and you're also pretty certain that his hand is garbage, I think you made the right move. (results aside.)
