Default All you DC to AC Greyhound Riders

I was just wondering how long the trip from DC to AC is on Greyhound? And what's the cost?

There's a Saturday bus that will get you there in about 3 to 3.5 hours nonstop.

Take advantage of the casino discount (shown when you purchase online) -- not only is it cheaper at $38 roundtrip + $4 for the "convenience" fee, but you'll also get $16 or $17 back from the casino once you get there.

Default Here\'s What You Do

Man, did you get [censored] ripped. Here's what you do. Take the 11 Am bus to Resorts. To get the cheap rate, you MUST MUST MUST tell them, "One to Resorts in Atlantic City". Be sure to get there at least 45 minutes early. The ticket will cost $37 roundtrip this way. Then, they will give you a coupon that is redeemable for $17 cash in Resorts. So it is an absurdly cheap $20 roundtrip. Then, Taj is next door. Going home, take the 4 AM express from Taj. Gets u back to DC by 7 AM. That way u avoid the shitty bus station area late at night and get 12 hrs of play to boot.

Of course, AMTRAK is the best option but its expensive. $100 roundtrip, but so much more comfortable. And the trip is usually closer to 4 hrs, 15 mins on the bus which blows.

Can you get discounted one-way tickets as well? I'm going there from DC, but I'm heading to New York the next day.

All Greyhound tickets to AC casinos are automatically roundtrip (so people don't lose all their money and have no way back I suppose). But this doesn't really matter for your purpose. Take the bus to AC from DC saying just what I said (One to Resorts in AC). It will still cost you only $20 ($37 less $17 back)...if you just say to Atlantic City, they send u to AC terminal at full price with no cash back (def negative EV). Just discard the return ticket. Then you will have to pay full fare for the bus to NY from AC (don't know how much that is). Actually, my recommendation to you would be to go to the train station in AC. Take NJ Transit to Philadelphia ($7, leaves about once an hour www.njtransit.com), then take NJ Transit to NY (another $7, takes like an hour or so). It is MUCH more comfortable than the bus and drops you off at Penn Station. Can you tell I hate the bus? Any other questions, feel free to ask.
