Taj Fall Clasiic? MG in NJ you out there?

East Coast tournament madness is upon us and in two days the much underhyped Trump Taj Mahal "Fall Classic" will begin in Atlantic City.

That's all the info I have and probably all I need but in typical half-assed Taj fashion they have left out the tourney starting times.

Interestingly, the opening event is a $5,000 two-day championship, a clear and rather sensible effort to snag the high rollers who will be left wayward after the WPF is over but before the Sands 10K event begins. Who knew they were even running supers? Is this some kind of phantom tournament event? A footnote? An afterthought?

Then the tournament breaks, resuming with a spate of small- and mid-sized buyin tournies throughout December. Does anyone know if these tournaments will have the same format as those during the USPC?

The Taj spreads this tournament every year.

The events start at 11:00 am.

No, the USPC still exists and already took place this year in September. This looks to be a new event.

I just did a search for the Trump classic and I could not find any past events.

You might be correct. The Taj usually spreads the WPC this time of year. Trump might have created a new tournament because of his past success.

In any event I would think all of the tournaments begin at 11, like all of the others have.
