Tournament Books

Can anyone recommend a good book that deals with tournament play? Or, a general poker book that has maybe a section/sections that deals specifically with tournament play? Thanks.

TPFAP is excellent and I would very much recommend combining it with the short-handed section of HEFAP. The short-handed/heads-up section of HEFAP is especially important if you are playing SnG's or want to be able to adjust to the end of a multi-.

unfortunately, TPFAP is the only good book written about tournament theory. mcevoy's tournament book isn't that bad, but it tells you what to do rather than what to think about as you play, just like all the books written by him and cloutier. the tournament section in PL and NL poker is good, but it is far from being a complete guide to the game.

i took a quick look at poker tournament tips from the pros, but it looks pretty basic and not of much use unless you are very new to tournaments.

a book on shorthanded play (the best source is the setion in HFAP) is an important supplement to whatever tournament book you read.
