Announcing Chessplayer\'s Poker Tournament (by Curtains)
curtains is having trouble logging in so I'm posting this for him:
The first ever private poker/chess tournament is being held on pokerstars! This is not a combination of chess and poker, but is simply a poker tournament where all of the participants will be rated chessplayers (including some strong titled players). Date - Friday November 21st 7:00 pm eastern standard time Buyin - $109 Starting Chips - 2500 Level Times - 30 minutes (As you can see this tournament will have much more play than a normal pokerstars event when compared to their 1500 in chips and 15 minute rounds!!) curtains20: If you are interested in playing, please send an email to nymasters1@yahoo.com or to gregshahade@yahoo.com with your name and your chess rating. The tournament is already listed under the tournament tab on Pokerstars! It should be an exciting event, hope to see you there! Greg Shahade |

Re: Announcing Chessplayer\'s Poker Tournament (by Curtains)
No restriction on rating, its pretty much for anyone who plays chess competitively also. As a sidenote, anyone with questions should e-mail curtains with the address posted because his browser isnt letting him login.

I expect negative correlation...
...between entrants' chess ratings and their poker tourney order of finish. The games are so different.
/poster sucks at both |
