Default An unscheduled stop ....

Playing in a good 6/12 game at Atichoke Joe's.
Any where from 4 to 6, sometimes 7 players see each flop.
Preflop is pretty passive, raised maybe 1/3 of the time.

Already well up in just 2hrs when I get Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the BB. I'm in the 4 seat.

Seats 5,6,7 are all calling stations, but will bet if checked to. ( As has already proven quite +EV for me )
Call them ATT, MCI & 10-10-220

Seat 1 is on tilt and shortstacked.

Here it goes...

ATT bets. MCI, 10-10-220 and another MP call, Seat 1( ) raises.Folded to me and I call as do all others.

Flop: Q-9-5 rainbow.

I bet, ATT,MCI, 10-10-220 all call, MP folds, Tilter calls.

Turn: 2, completes the rainbow

I bet, the three bells call, folds.

River: 7

I some how manage to stop and check. ATT bets, MCI and 10-10-220 both call.
I check-raise....

Thoughts and comments appreciated.

Tim

You were probably fortunate when the 7 landed on the river. The Q7s call of a raise is dangerous. And some might also not like firing away with a weak kicker Q. I'll check/fold sometimes to the right board and players with this hand. I might have even check-folded this one.

If we could all have players like that, just for one month a year.... Well played imo.

Nice hand. Were you ahead before the 7 came on the river?

In a multiway pot, you should usually call one raise in the big blind with any two suited.

After the flop, noone saw fit to raise him, he may very well have had the only queen out there. Betting, until you get resistance, is probably better than giving free cards in his situation.

I'm sure you're right, I'll stay away from this type of hand for now though. Unless I feel I know the table well.

Groove,

That was exactly my point in the game description. No one was going to do anything silly like limp re-raise, and if any A or K flops it's a check fold for sure. Unless it's the A and K of [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]'s .

Default Amusing Results........

As I'm putting out my two stacks of 6 chips for the raise they all hung up! I think my hand was good ( before the 7 )and I just picked up 3 big bets by not betting out on the river.
