QQ vs preflop raiser and an Ace on flop
I am UTG + 2 in an online $3/6 where I haven't played a full rotation and know none of the players. It seems like a somewhat wild table given the average pot size of around 9BBs. UTG raises, UTG +1 folds, I am UTG + 2 and see Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and reraise, and all fold to UTG who calls.
Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG bets, I raise, he calls. Turn is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and UTG bets out again. There are 8 BBs in the pot, what is my play? |

Re: QQ vs preflop raiser and an Ace on flop
Homer would fold. In fact, against certain opponents, Homer would fold to the flop bet.

Re: QQ vs preflop raiser and an Ace on flop
This is a tough one ... Even though it is HU, the bet on the turn could mean any number of things. I don't think you are ahead at this point, I'm weak tight so I'd just fold.

Looks like UTG is not gonna fold here, among possible raising hands here you can only beat JJ or 99 KQs (less likely), so I would fold at the turn.

[ QUOTE ]
I'm weak tight so I'd just fold. [/ QUOTE ] I would fold as well. Folding is not weak tight here. Whatever style you play, you need to recognize when your beat, and this is clearly one of them. -ropey |
