Default Offsuit Big cards in late position

Hands like KJ KT AJ AT QT and possibly even AQ. playing these hands in late position with 5-6 callers in front of you... Is it a major leak in your game if you fold them? I play 5-10 Hold em, and the game is usually loose passive. But in this position, should these even be played? You'd normally be against (almost any) two suited cards, connected cards, (drawing hands) and possibly dominating hands. This is where i notice a lot of people who hold dominating hands like say KQ in early get beat by some middle position K4 suited, after they hit two pair. It may SOUND like a stupid question, but how bad is it? I mean these hands are very good in short handed pots, but when its multiway, they are the underdogs vs the draws. So how do you play them?
