What's the best way to disguise casino bonus whoring, so you can't get hit with "bonus abuse"?

LOL have you ever known anyone to get nailed for this? Anyway, just play a few extra hands when you clear it, then let it sit there for a day and play a few the next day and cash it.

Yes. Actually. There was a thread not too long ago about Pacific Poker refusing to hand out a bonus because of "abuse." I'd bet the casinos are a lot more anal about this sort of thing than poker rooms too.

Anyway, thanks for the advice on claiming these bonuses.

How can you "abuse" pacific's bonus, they won't let you cash it until you play the requisite hands. I think you mis-read the post.

I was unable to cash out directly after finishing playing the required hands from Pacific. It was regarded as bonus abusing and after much telephone and e-mail correspondence, i got the money transferred back into my neteller account. LIke i have said in a previous post ages ago, they have an unenlightened "internet-casino mentality" with regard to bonuses.

Well, I stand corrected. I must note that I deposited money into Pacific solely to recon the money I had made off the gratis $20 or whatever it was they put in my account. I then cashed out all that I put, plus the $20 and the profits from them. I did, however leave the money they credited to my account as part of the deposit bonus and I am still playing that off. But cashing everythign else was no problem.

Is there a similarity between pushing the limits of the regulations for bonus whoring to pushing the limits for slowing down a tourney to gain an advantage?

Perhaps you could make that argument. In each case the player is using a tactic to maximize his or her advantage. Something far worse than bonuswhoring or intentionally playing slow, however, are the casinos who establish conditions which must be met to claim a bonus, but then refuse to pay out when someone meets those conditions. "Bonus abuse" rules set a double standard that penalizes people for being smart and rewards people who aren't. Whereas everyone has the ability to play slower or chase after bonuses, ethical or not.

How is this for obnoxious...sites that ALWAYS require personal ID for withdrawals, but do not state that clearly, and do not state ALWAYS by regulation, they MUST have that information?

I think it is called the law of unintended consequences.

Has this been discussed at length elsewhere?

Someone warned me about $500 too late and I am still checking up on it, but I agree, sites that make the rules, and then chastise players for abiding by the letter are open to criticism. In fact, that was the point of all my posts...Let the sites be thorough and thoughtful in devleoping their procedures, and make the true goal, benefitting all the players be the one that is encouraged.

I do not like kladges, or workarounds to patch up problems, but lead to new ones. I like procedures that really model the situation...like PokerStars Time Bank, not just making a rule that causes new problems.
