Default Wanted: Volunteers for a real learning experience

I just signed up for Party Poker last night.

I played for about an hour at El Sapos two plus two table. I do not think everyone there played their "A" game.

I would like to see if anyone else would commit to playing perhaps twice a week for a three or four hour session. Everyone who plays will have to bring their "A" game. We post the hands and discuss them with the forum.

A year or so ago Dynasty, Acehigh, Mikey, Hutz, Allen and I along with some other posters did this for a few months.

If anyone has an interest please respond here or send me an e mail or pm.

Everyone will have to leave their "ego" at the door and concentrate on playing well. We can start a private .50-1.00 table.

Thanks

I'm in for one night a week, just not over the weekend.

Wasn't the group last year play money?

I thought of perhaps Monday or Tuesday evenings.

Yes and we also played shorthanded.

I definitely am one of the guilty ones who took the game real lightly and basically used the table to try out a few new things. I'm willing to bring my A-game to the private table for a couple of hours, once a week, schedule permitting.

Well, my play could have been considered ok, but the last half of my session I was too busy watching Playmakers to really concentrate on anything at the table.

The hand that sticks out in my mind....

I limp at B0 with 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] after B4 and B2 limp and B1 posts (you were UTG, if I remember correctly.) SB completes and BB checks.

flop came 8-6-3 rainbow, no club

SB (WSULeif) bet out, BB and B1 called, I called

turn 4-[8-6-3] completing rainbow

SB bets out, B1 raises, I call?!?!?, SB calls

river was something like a jack, B1 astutely checks to me, and I bet, SB folds, B1 calls and take down the pot.

If this isn't a goof-off hand, I don't know what is. I just wanted to see what would happen when I called two cold on the turn with no apparent draws being picked up. Maybe 79 could be played this way, but I don't know how I would react to someone calling two cold in my position.

I pulled a couple of other moves that I normally wouldn't think of pulling, but that hand is what sticks out in my mind. Either way, I'll bring the A game next week...let me know the details.

If your B- is your best, we will help you achieve an "A' game.

Play solid poker.

I'm in, but as with others, I have only a B- game to bring. Can I play anyway?
