Default how many poker sites are there really?

i read on RGP that Party Poker has 5 different portals -"skins" is the correct term?

do all of the sites do this? how many "true" poker room sites are out there, as opposed to the various portals that lead to the same site? so, in Party Poker's case, 5 portals really equals one site.

Yes, party has five (Party, Empire, Intertops, Multi and Eurobet). Other than that, there are a ton of different sites. For example, Pokerstars, UB, Paradise, Pokerroom all have only one portal. BigBet/PokerPort/Goddess are all a portal to the same site. Intercasino has various front doors (I don't know the others off hand, William Hill is one I think). Then there's the Prima Network and I defintiely don't know anything about them. Let me see, then there's others that I'm sure I am missing i.e. Ladbrokes (US players not allowed). There's ACR/Fabulous, two doors one site. ETC.

OK after additional research there is Tribeca Tables (Golden Palace, Victor Chandler, etc - link here: http://www.tribecatables.com/Tribeca...rentSkins.htm)

Here's a link to the cryptologic sites (Intercasino/William Hill and others): http://www.pokerpulse.com/pr/details/cryp/cryp.htm

PlanetPoker is a single door site, as is Popular Poker, Pacific and 24h Poker I believe. I think ThePokerClub and WSEX are single door sites.

Prima Poker includes RoyalVegas and the Gaming Club, among others. I couldn't find the full list there.

This info was all located at PokerPulse.com and are not affiliate links/spam, etc. before some of you get your panties in a bunch. Then again, I think y'all know me better than that.

Oh yea and I forgot about True, it's a single door site.

Default Nearly comprehensive list of poker sites:

Party
Stars
Paradise
UB
Ladbrokes
Pacific
Pokerroom
True Poker
Golden Palace
ICP
Planet Poker
Prima Poker
Pokertropolis
24h Poker
The Poker Club
WSex
ACR
BBP
Dyanamite Poker
Popular Poker
Tiger Gaming
Bugsys Club
Absolute
Total
Delta Poker
Victoria's Poker

Plus these questionable sites:
Poker Gold, Sunrise, and ProPoker.

So, that's 28 if I can count. Skins were not included here. If you were looking to whore at every site, then you would add 4 Party skins, 5 ICP skins, 1 GP skin, but no Prima Poker skins as you're only allowed one account there. Adding those skins brings us to 38.

Please let me know if I missed a site.

Edit: There's 2 BBP skins, so that's up to 40 now.

Edit 2: Added Stars for 29/41

lol, oops.

I had all those top sites in a list for BW.com. But there were skins in between em. I deleted the skins to avoid having to distinguish them in my post and must've zapped Stars in the process. Good catch.

Here is a list of rooms with skins separate but noted. This list is of rooms i have downloaded or played at within last 2 years.I pretty much play at 5-6 rooms now and focus on playing rather than playing/bonus whoring... but bonus oppurtunities are there for pretty much all these rooms. Some of these rooms should be avoided Sunrise and Propoker particularly.Others are semi-defunct CCCPoker and Total Poker.
1.24h Poker-occasional big bonuses onerous restrictions
2.Absolute Poker-good new small room with good promos and crappy software
3.ACR
4.Fabulous(ACR skin)
5.CCC Poker -dont answer email support.Saturday freeroll seems to have disappeared ..tried to play it last week
6.Ladbrokes-Us players cant play here
7.Tiger Gaming-not a Prima skin -very small
8.Party Poker-fish central
9.Empire Poker(Party skin)
10.Coral Eurobet Poker(Party skin)-no 24 hour live support online .No us toll free numbers ..focused on europlayers
11.Intertops Poker(Party skin)
12.MultiPoker(Party skin)
13.BigBet Poker-nice little room good promos..alot of props .ring games can be very tight..added money small tournies
14.Goddess Poker(BigBet skin)
15.PokerPot(BigBet skin)
16.Dynamite Poker-good place to hone tourney chops in small tournies..downside is room doesnt give dick back to players..cheap managemnet
17.Vic Chandler-Us players cant play here
18.GoldenPalace(Vic Chandler skin)-first or I think could be wrong VC skin to allow US players.Has good daily freerolls with Action Points..has bad cashout policies to Neteller if amount is above initial buy-in..now they will EFT funds to Bank account at their expense..improved but still poor.
19.FishPond(VC skin)
20.Old West(VC skin)
21.HousePlayer Poker(VC skin)
22.Bugsy Club-some juicy 3-6 LHE and small NLHE games .has tourney freerolls last 2 weeks of every month.Nice room..excellent fast CS ..software is ok.
23.Pacific Poker-fishcentral but on qualludes ..very slow games.Ran $300 up to$4600 and bailed..now back.
24.Paradise Poker-great software.Management dont give dick back to players.CS is good others think its great..I like live customer support.Still best software..arrogant management despite what shills say.
25.InterCasino Poker-easily the crappiest software out there ..not worth playing there.games are tighter than they used to be ..still alot of eurofish.INterCasino mother casino has great promos.WAIT new software version just emailed to me!!!Hopefully this will bea n improvement!!
26.William Hill(Intercasino skin)
27.Planet Poker-gives back to its players like Party,Intertops,True and UB problem is action is limited and games are inconssitent.
28.PokerRoom-used to play there a ton.Management is arrogant -give little back to players. The old promo system for active players was better than this giveaway bs they have now. They do have a great value tourney on saturdays-an old standard $1500 added ..so maybe they aint so bad.Games got tighter 3-4 months ago.
29.PokerStars-best software on the planet ..toughest players.dont really give back much to players .There FPP tournies have measly prize pools.Ring games and small NLHE are getting better.
I still think they bought the "action version" of the software ...hehe ..flame away.

30.Popular Poker-nice guys ..crappy software.Used to run Loyalty point tournies for valued first loyal customers..now they have turned there backs and focked us I got 1700LP's.Tournies and freerolls are tougher in last 2-3 months ..not as much value.Ring games can be very juicy .They play BRHE-Big river holdem.Btw conspiracy theories about cheating and razzo and other employees cheating are BS.. not true.Software has never been improved and is a nightmare.
31.True Poker-nice site .take care of players.Games are passive ..small pots ..friendly.good weekly freerolls. If you could play mutiple tables there I would give them more action.
32.Ultimate Bet-I guess there is always one room that haunts u .I play sporadic at UB mostly PLO..seem to run bad there ..oh well..sigh.
To me room has tighter games than other places I play.Freerolls w/ UB points are good.I have never liked the software even though it is very fast.
33.WSEX-can have juicy ring games and insane NLHE games but rare.
34.Pokertropolis
35.Pokerclub
36.Total Poker-this room has been dead from the getgo..management focused on style of software and it backfired..games too slow and promos are measly..loss leader for mothership.
37.Golden Riviera(Prima Network)
38.Royal Vegas(Prima Network)-best of Prima Network is going ballsout right now to promote this site.Prima has som huge NLHE games going at times.Excellent CS .Microgaming software like all of prima network I think..
39.TheGamingClub(Prima Network)
40.AztecRiches(Prima Network)
41.Golden Tiger(Prima Network)
42.Sunrise Poker
43.ProPoker-DO NOT PLAY HERE .KGC that little organiztion up in Canada that runs servers for 80% of all online sites shoud pull any relationship with this site. The site is a fraud and has bilked hundreds of thousands from unsuspecting victims. To put it mildly ..they know what you got and cheat.
I have cleared bonuses here but overall down couple hundred..do not play there.
44.Victoria's Poker-small room crappy sofware ..measly promos.Nice CS.
45.Platinum Holdem Club

Good fishin! Lee

For the VC skins, can you have a seperate account at each one? I always had the impression that you could either play GP or VC...but everything else was more of a portal than a skin.

Platinum Hold em...forgot about that one. Another nice catch.
