Twisted Beats is a good player, and he was certianly on a run during this game. He feels certian that he made the right play, but I thought we should post it and see what everyone else thinks.
2-4 Nl game I have 418 TB has 1590 I am in the small blind and TB is on the button Two limpers to me and I call the small blind with Qs4d (and please, I know this isnt a high quality starting hand) The flop comes Qd6d4d I lead $8 into the pot, fully expecting Twisted Beats to raise on the button. The big blind calls, and so does the other limper. TB raises to $56 and I reraise the pot ($200). The turn comes 8d and I push all-in. He calls. River 5c TB turns over 7d5h, for turned straight, and takes down the pot, telling me he knew exactly what I had. Ok, we'll asume he knew, so did he make the right play? |

Sorry, the flop was Qd 6d 4c, not a three flush board, TB posted the hand right after me anyway

. Even w/o the read he should have flat called on the flop as it's better to keep the 3rd player as the chances to take it down vs. two opponents are slim. If somehow he knew that you had twopair, then his raise was even worse as he could be pretty sure that you would reraise in that case. |

The flop call was bad because even if he could see your cards he had 8 outs and would only get paid off another $200 if he hits (and that doesn't take into account that there may be a flush draw out there who might call as well, leaving him with 6 outs). If your stack was around $1000 it still would've been bad, but not horrendous. But sometimes when you're on a rush and can't miss, you just gotta stay in the zone and not fight the cards. However, even if I hit the 5 previous hands, I probably muck my str8 draw here.
