the only times he's raised me big like that, he's had a set, so that's what i put him on. so i think the only hand i can be behind is a2TT. do i just get it all in here and hope for the best?

change another one of your cards to a club and you can push it in safely.

as is, i would call and see what the turn brings. this is mainly because he'll probably call a pot bet from you if you hit a straight, but you can fold if the board pairs.

What you have here is a draw, and in my experience in this game, pushing on a draw when unnecessary is a bad idea. First of all, you have like zero chance of him folding, which is one reason its not a good play. 2nd, you are behind. If he can make this kind of play, he has you beat with a better draw (A23 w/ clubs, a set, or top 2. Basically, you have 13 outs to scoop if he doesnt have clubs, which is only enough to call with. Betting the flop was a must of course, and you have to call the raise and see the turn. If you hit the turn with ANY low card (7 and 8 included), you have to bet because there is a good chance you are freerolling. If you miss the turn, you have a decision to make. He will of course bet after you check to him, and you have to decide whether to call his $220 or whatever he has left. Seeing as how you will not be able to get paid off if your card hits (preferably 6 or ace since he most likely assumes u have a2), it's not worth the call on the turn if you cant get paid off when you hit.
