Default What to do when slowplayed like this?

sk711 was playing big hands strong so when he didn't start off by raising or reraising, I put him on a lower set of cards.

** Moscow [Hold 'em] (1.00|2.00 Fixed Limit - Cash Game) (6max)

** Dealing card to ItalianFX: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
PokerPai folded
arff73 called - $1.00
sk711 called - $1.00
Sand101 folded
timer78 called - $1.00
ItalianFX checked

** Dealing the flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 10[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
timer78 checked
ItalianFX bet - $1.00
arff73 called - $1.00
sk711 called - $1.00
timer78 folded

** Dealing the turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
ItalianFX checked
arff73 checked
sk711 bet - $2.00
ItalianFX raised - $4.00
arff73 folded
sk711 called - $4.00

** Dealing the river: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
ItalianFX checked
sk711 checked

Other player's hand:

Is there anybody who could have put him on that one?

Not the time for the screw play. bet/call the turn.

*raises hand* He could have had lots of other stuff too. And don’t post results. I waited until after I made up my mind to look at the results most people won’t, and you’ll get biased responses.

Assuming the turn went bet-fold-call, we're bet/folding the river?

I posted the hand so that you could see what I was talking about. If I didn't, would you think he had that hand?

I know you guys hate seeing things in white, but it was for a reason!

I check raised because if he was on a draw and hit his straight after the turn Ace, then I was saving myself a bet. I wasn't putting him on those cards though from the way he was playing.

That's how I'd play it. We still get value out of the 10, sometimes a lower pair calls, and I don't think we're inducing a bluff by checking.

dude, FX, you've posted a few hands now that have had some etiquette gaffes. don't post results! post them a day later when people have had a chance to comment. It skews our thinking - did you know before showdown exactly what they had? neither should we.

Also, stop posting direct HH's, it's poor form to print player's aliases. Edit them to read UTG, MP, CO, BTN, SB and BB if that suits, or use a converter.

bet the turn. bet-fold river looks goot.

This is really bad. If he is on a draw, you give him a free card on the turn. Why would you do that. Don't try to save bets when you have a really strong hand. Bet the turn, he will call with so many worse hands. You cant rely on him to bet, so you cant assume you will be able to check raise. Who cares that he had QJ? He played it awful, but that is what these guys do. You should stop caring about what specific hand he had, and start thinking about all the different hands he COULD have, which is a ton. And your hand (on the turn), crushes that range, so bet!. On the river, the 2nd ace kinda hurts our hand, because now anyone with an ace, or K and a higher kicker beats us. So I bet the river, and may fold to a raise (not that many people would bluff here). The reason I bet the river is because a lot of worse hands will still call.

Let me give you my fish point of view.

He bet the Turn because he hit his straight.

He then called your raise because he thought you might be trying a bluff because a scary card came.
Plus he doesn't want to raise and chase you out of the pot.
He wants more of your money.

The River A probably scaried him further.

Any other card and he probably raises you but he is now afraid you have a possible Full House so he calls down.

Please note as a fish I see plenty of MUBs and, no disrespect to him, he probably does too!

Peace!
