QQ all in?
I am early position of a .25/.50 $50 max NLHE at Stars. I raise to 3.50. Button raises to $8. BB calls, I call.
Flop comes up 258, all diamonds. I have Qd. BB checks, I bet $20. Button reraises allin to $35. BB rereraises allin to $40. It's $20 to me (I have them covered). Do you call? |

Re: QQ all in?
You're getting 6:1 on the call. Grit your teeth and do it. You're probably only a 5.5:1 dog here.

Re: QQ all in?
Yes, not expecting to win but extremely happy if I do. Nice odds on the call although probably drawing dead about half the time for the flush. Could still win with the overpair too.

Re: QQ all in?
While often, you will find yourself trapped between the best hand and the best draw, there's no way you can fold when getting 6:1.

There's your mistake right there. The only reason I can think of just calling the 4.50 raise is because he is so tight you can firmly put him on a bigger pair. In which case your post-flop decision is: Don't bet the $20, and fold to any decent bet from the raiser. |

I was thinking this one over....I was going to call the Button no problem. The BB caught me by surprise. I must've used about 10 seconds of the 15 I'm allotted. Then I reluctantly called. I thought if a diamond, A, or K fell, I'd be dead. Turn was a small diamond, river dud. BB has AJo, no diamond. I show my QQ with diamond. Button has AKo, no diamond. |

Re: wow
Hehe, sorry, don't remember them. But a lot of idiots play the $25 and $50 max NLHE at stars. There are some sharks in there, but plenty of fish to go around.
