Default Parking fee at AC

Hi,

I read in some messages that the parking fee at AC coulb be $20 if you don't have a players card... Whats the reality? I never had to pay more than $2 and I always parked at the TAJ. However, my last visit was about 8 months ago.

Thanks for help

I've been taking a bus to AC for a while now, but to the best of my knowledge it is still $2 in casino properties and free at Showboat if you have a players' card.

To balance the state budget (New Jersey) Parking rates were raised to $3. However if during peak times casinos wish to raise prices because of concerts, too many beach goers then on weekends they can raise the price to what ever they think is necessary. ie Tropicana for non card holders on July 4th had a 24 hours rate of $20 .... Thanx 4 coming!

As Brudder stated the City charge is now $3, but the casinos can charge what they want. Just make sure you have a player card and you'll never pay over $3.....its just that easy

Resorts and the trop will charge more if you don't have a players card. I think resorts whats $10 if you don't have a card.

Thanks for the update. Goes to show when the last time I drove to AC. I found it convenient to park my car at Cheesequake and hop into Academy. As long as I have my walkman or earplugs with me, I'm ok. Beats paying the toll, gas, wear and tear on the car, and most important, I don't have to worry about parking and napping on the shoulder on the way back. With a practically 24 hour service from most of the casinos, I call it my 24-hour-47-passenger-limo ride.

I think the bus is really a convenient alternative in travelling to AC...

Can you expand about the Academy Service from the Cheesequake rest area?

I know there is another stop just of the Linwood GSP exit. Do all Acadamies stop here or only some?

As far as I know, the only bus that stops at Exit 109 is the one from JC and arrives at Cheesequake about 10:00AM then goes to Trop and Showboat. I have taken this on several occasions. The drawback is that it is the only one that stop at 109 on the way back. You'll be better off driving up north an extra 12 miles from Exit 109 to Cheesequake for the convenience of being able to sit down, read poker articles, take a nap, return on any bus within 48 hrs etc., not to mention the added benefit of casino give back of $12-17 for a $21 fare. Just bring your ear plugs or disc player.

If this is the case the state essentially raised the fee from $1.50 to $3 so it seems fair if the casinos charge $3 or even $4
