Default Should I fold JJ preflop?

500K guaranteed Party...

Villian ~4k, UTG
Hero 1.5k, CO has JJ

Blinds are 75/150

Villian, who has raised 1/120 hands PF since the beginning of the tournament, opens to 450, all folds, action on me.

How does Villain open for 450 when the blinds are 150/300?

Anyway, I don't think I fold JJ here, even with your read on Villain. You have 5xBB in your stack right now, and there just isn'ty enough time to fold JJ and wait for "a better spot."

Push please.

with that read you are a coinflip at best with a good chance at being dominated

Ahhh, that changes things a little. Wait, what am I saying, I still push here. Your stack is still at merely 10xBB, still not enough room to get so choosy, IMO.

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

Board:
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 49.1706 % 48.25% 00.92% { 99+, AJs+, KQs, AQo+ }
Hand 2: 50.8294 % 49.91% 00.92% { JJ }

Unless you think this is too wide of a range for Villain, this move is clearly +cEV (though it's close).

Not folding here is probably not very wrong, if it is wrong at all. However, if you see '1 raise in 120 hands' and interpret it to mean this:

{ 99+, AJs+, KQs, AQo+ }

[/ QUOTE ]

You have a serious leak in your game.
