3-6 gme, realtively tight. I raise 2 limpers in LP w/ AJo in LP.
Flop 8h 5h 5s I bet both call. Turn: 5d. Checked around River: Ac 12t player checks, second bets, I raise. Calls and shows 88 for bigger boat. I think I should have called hand # 2: AKo in MP I raise 2 limpers, one player cold calls behind me. Flop: 2-2-4. Checked to me I bet everyone calls. Turn: Q checked around River: 4 checked to Last player who bets all fold except me . He shows 77 for bigger 2 pair. Comments? Joe |

Hand 1 is fine, and when you check the turn in hand 2, you are inducing soemone to bluff by showing weakness, so the call may be right unless you knew the opponent would not bluff/value bet A high here.

In the first hand, what can beat you - the case 5, pocket As or pocket 8s? The raise is fine. I have more of a problem with your opponents missed 3 bet than I ever would your raise.
As for the 2nd hand, I'd prefer to come out betting the river and fold to any raise. If I decided to check, then I likely would fold to any bet. But I don't think your play was horrible. Luke |

for hand #2, what if it gets checked around. The problem with coming out betting like that is that the ace high figures to be teh best hand the majority of the time, but not when it is called. I think checking/calling to induce a bluff is the pos. EV play, however looking back, I don't think this particular player would bet what I had or less on a bluff.
I think check/fold would have been the best play in retrospect Joe |

I think you have a turn bet in both of these hands.
