I guess my questions is I think I misplayed the turn and river, I wonder if I should have bet the turn and river since he was being so passive with the checking. I was new to the table, but I was also afraid of getting check-raised as well. What do you all think? Thanks in advance.

Wow that flop sucks for your hand you certainly have enough to peel on the flop but i am not real sure what the raise accomplishes. I doubt you are cleaning up any outs may or may not get a free card and getting 3-bet would suck. On the flip side the pot is pretty darn big and raising may improve your chances of winning. I have a hard time thinking UTG+1 folds a hand to a turn bet getting 8:1 that he would bet into the pre flop raiser with on the flop but stranger things have happened and he doesn't have to fold very often to make it a good bet. After you checked the turn i think your never folding a better hand on the river with a bet.

I was asctually trying to represent the AK on the flop - figured i'd take a shot - as it being new to the table, I also wanted to see what kind of response I'd get from this player. I just thought that with my post flop raise, should I have kept betting out and try to force a fold or did I finish the hand out correctly.
