Default 5-5 CALLING STATION TROUBLE

Playing 5 handed $5-5 no limit, villain is a stranger.

Stacks:

Hero: $280
Villain: $500

Hero is dealt K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on button
PRE-FLOP
LP opens to $10, hero calls, SB (Villain) calls, BB calls

FLOP pot ($40)
K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villain bets out $25, fold, fold, Hero calls

Thoughts: Only worried about K 9, A K, or a set. I figured this could easily be a King w/ bad kicker bet considering the small pre-flop raise. So I choose to just call and observe the turn.

TURN pot ($90)
[K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villain bets $44, Hero calls

Thoughts: This is where I question my play. In my mind I was 90% sure I was dealing with the king. I figured if I called here he might still put me on a straight draw, so I could get a nice bet/call on river.

RIVER pot ($178)
[K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villain bets $201 (pushing me all-in)

- How hard is this call?

You can beat a stone bluff. Don't see callin without a read.

This hand would make me feel a little ill..

Raise the flop to $60. It makes the hand much easier to play.

Maybe. But it's typically a negative expectation raise.
