Default tried to control pot

11 rebuy on the bubble PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t3000 (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
3 folds,MP2 raises to t7500</font>, Hero calls t4500.

Flop: (t13200) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>
Hero checks, MP2 bets t12500</font>, Hero calls t12500. This is bad right?

Turn: (t38200) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)</font>
Hero bets t15000</font> I really wanted to see the river, and maybe I could take it down though it smells like rockets,MP2 raises to t66000</font>, Hero folds, would anyone gamble here?

flop call is bad, I'd probably check-push the turn (possibility for free card, fold equity, and 13 outs is a good combination)

I don't think your bet is terrible though.

i don't think the check/call on the flop is terrible. you can win some extra chips if you hit, and you may win the pot by spiking a pair on the turn and checking down. you can also choose to bluff the river if he checks behind on the turn.

i'd prefer a c/r all-in on the flop though. there's a pretty low chance he'll have a hand that he wants to play with. if he's a thinking player, he'll be less inclined to play against you b/c it's the bubble.

Lead on the flop, if he raises you, then you have more information and can act on it on the turn.

If he just calls he probably has a small piece of the flop and will fold to a turn bet.
