Default Worst played hand ever?

Online 1/2

I'm in the SB with A [img]/forums/images/icons/club.gif[/img] A [img]/forums/images/icons/heart.gif[/img]

1 mp(Any face card will do) limper to me I raise and make it heads up.

Flop is T [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/forums/images/icons/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/forums/images/icons/spade.gif[/img]
checked to me, I check to see if I can get a bluff on the turn.

Turn: 5 [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img]
he checks, well I bet cursing myself, guy calls

River A [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img]

He bets into me, and now all I can do is call.

Default Results

He had Q [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/forums/images/icons/diamond.gif[/img]

He flopped the nut straight and it rivered into the second nut flush. I keep wondering if I had bet the flop if he wouldn't have just folded the nut.

You raised pre-flop to get it heads-up agains the sole limper. A pretty tight board is flopped, so you know a draw is possible. This is not the place to slow-play pocket aces in my opinion. If a complete blank hits on the turn, he may not call your turn bet anyway. If a K or an A falls (other than diamonds in his case) it would probably scare him off as well.

Might as well bet the flop. If he folds you win the hand. If he calls, you profit as he does not have the odds at that point to draw to the gutshot. Once he gets to the turn, he's around for good with 12 outs to draw to.

But, I think you knew all the above already!

If KQT98 is the nut straight, i've lost a lot of hands I shouldn't have. I would've bet the flop.

No offense to you, but I've seen errors like this showing up more and more often in recent posts:

I'm in the SB...the flop is checked to me and I check...

You're in the SB, it can't be checked to you!

He has Q9, the board is KT8, he has the nut straight

He has nothing!

Actually, assuming the cards are correct, he has the second nut flush.

But I agree with this comment: If you want people to take the time to respond thoughtfully, please take the time to ensure your post is accurate.

Default Worst posted hand ever.

Very sorry for wasting everyones time on this one. I missread my logs completely.

In case you are wondering, I was the button, and I completely misread the gutshot straight when I looked at the log.

I was thinking that my hand was too strong for a bet fold situation. It bit me in the butt.
