Caption shenanigans

who is changing posters' captions (member, pooh-bah, carpel tunnel, etc...) without their knowledge or consent?

i know i'm asking for it, but this type of thing is out of line...pure and simple.

The ones I know of...

The mods, [censored] and astroglide, make changes to denote a member's "status," as in "being disciplined."

A few "Spay-shul" members have requested and received "Spay-shul" designations.

yes...."vexvelour" now has "i'm a girl" as her caption. according to her in one of her posts, she does not know how this happened.

Mostly the OOT mods. I've done a couple, but only in cases where I was sure the poster wouldn't mind, or they were utter losers who deserved it (by which I mean McVicker).

I don't think it's out of line at all, unless it's being used to attack legitimate posters. The default titles are both stupid and pointless. If you have a particular gripe you should make it.

I don't know who did this; actually I'm not sure I even know who vexvelour is. But if she wants to get it changed back she should be able to by PMing any mod.

I think you are overreacting. If you have a legit concern about this, pm Mat. I am going to stick up for my fellow greens and say I don't think we have a problem of rouge mods. I have changed the titles of spammers and trolls, but that's it. By making this post you are not "asking for it." I would be surprised if anyone changes yr title in a fit of vindictiveness.
