Hard Rock Florida info request
I'm headed to south Fla next week - just wondering if anyone had any info about the Seminole Hard Rock tourneys/sit'n'go's.
Earlier threads said tourneys in S fla may be shut down - is this true at the Indian casinos? Also, does anyone know about sitngo structure/rake etc. at these places if they're still running? Thanks in advance |

Re: Hard Rock Florida info request
SnGs -- they have several different structure.
Spent one night at Hard Rock Ft Lauderdale a couple of months ago. If memory serves, the lowest one is something like $40, but you play on the poker video tables (live players, but computer dealt) -- it's a bit of a PITA, but it works. The lowest dealer game is, I think, $135. Games go up to $500, $1000, sometimes higher. The problem with the lower stake games (and maybe the higher, I didn't ask) is that the house take is pretty high 25% ish or no. With this much skimmed off the pot, I doubt it's beatable. Sorry I don't have more precise information -- hope this helps. |

Re: Hard Rock Florida info request
this is the structure for the tampa tourneys, the hollywood tourneys are probably very similar.
buy in 1st 2nd 3rd 120$ 450$ 300$ 200$ 225$ 950$ 600$ 400$ 535$ 2400$ 1500$ 1000$ they also spread a 1050$ buy in but it never gets filled up. these tournaments run around the clock. as soon as they get 10 players it is a go. these tourneys are easy to win if you have a moderate amount of skill. the 120$ is a gamble, there are lots of really bad players that suck out all the time. fyi, the dealers dont get paid to deal these tourneys. some places give the dealers a piece of the buy in for dealing tourneys but not in tampa, just tips. |

Re: Hard Rock Florida info request
Just keep in mind Hurricane Wilma did a lot of damage in the area. My sister lives 5 mins. away from there and she told me there are still places without power and a lot of buildings with missing roofs. I'm sure the casino is OK, but you never know.

Re: Hard Rock Florida info request
Thanks for the info fellas - I appreciate it.
I did a search, and I saw some threads about how tourneys in Fla casinos were shut down, but I didn't know how this affected Indian casinos down there. Anyway, if I get to play down there I'll post a trip report. Thanks again all |

Thanks for that pointer. I joke sometimes about tipping here, but when I play live (I hate to admit it) I'm a George. I know this admission will cost me the frankly meager amount of respect I have here on 2+2, but so be it. |

Re: Hard Rock Florida info request
I was there last week. The place sucks. slots and stupid sngs and very low limit poker only. SNGs were going, something like $65, ^140 and one bigger, maybe in the $300s?

Re: Hard Rock Florida info request
HERE.
When were you there, JBB? I was out there last weekend having a beer with another 2+2er. It was the same night Slacker was there trying to get in brawls. |
