Knowing I\'m beat, yet calling anyway
Opponent here seems pretty agro, and he is 64/4/2 after the last 40 hands. I wanted to fold on the river, but I just can't do it.
Any other problems? No folding the river not against this guy.

I have only seen this guy play a few hands, so I am not sure how agro he really is. What do you do against an unknown?

Re: Knowing I\'m beat, yet calling anyway
after that b/3b you're getting 5/1 to see showdown, which I think is good enough against guys like this.

Wow, I wouldn't even consider folding this river.

Re: Knowing I\'m beat, yet calling anyway
I know you're asking leader, but the b/3b is all power. I don't think I've ever seen someone semi-bluff this way. Against unknown I would alwyas raise that donker and would try and find a fold to the 3bet. You could have outs to 2 pair, but witht hat betting sequence I think you'll see set or straight way more often then 2 pair.

I don't think I've ever seen someone semi-bluff this way. [/ QUOTE ] I have. This guy has an ag-factor of 2 which is pretty high for a VP-60 player. I've seen players slow-play their AT or even their JT or whatever and then go crazy on the turn. I've seen 3-bet bluffs like this with total air. If the guy is a semi-thinking player then he could have AT, T5 or 54 and be considering his straight-outs as well. There's no way you can fold this. If he's a 14/6/0.4 player then I feel better getting out of the way. but against this guy, anything is possible. He could have A3 for all you know or K7 for all you know. |
