$1500 UPC Final Table hand
5 remaining. I have 75k or so in chips, chipleader, 2nd place has 45k or so I believe. Blinds are 800-1600 with a 200 ante. I am in the Big Blind. Folded to the cutoff who is David Singer he raises it up to 5000. Button and Small Blind fold and its up to me. I look down and see Pocket Sevens, whats your play? David has 16k or so left after the raise.
If you call, whats your plan on the flop. btw, this hand will be on this weekend on Ultimate Poker Challenge(shameless plug) |

Re: $1500 UPC Final Table hand
Good fold equity, favourite against a large range of hands hes raising with, singer can survive with his 16k rather than push the rest of it in, and if he calls hes likely a dog.
Also as the chip leader a move like this says to the rest of the table "Don't F with me or you're going to get merked." Gotta make the move, you probably have the best hand, and a stop and go isnt going to work as hes going to have to call his last 16 to win 30, almost 2 to 1. Only two options here are either push or fold, and i'd definitely push. |

I don't know anything about Singer, but this is usually an insta-push for me 5 handed.
