Re-raise or push?

65 left, paying 27. Blinds 400-800 (ante 50). Villian (table chipleader, 54k) raises to 2400 from HJ. Hero (22k) has KK in CO position.

Raise to 6k or so and play the flop with position if he calls or just push preflop, which is a bit of an overbet?

My image should be pretty solid TAG, who hasn't done anything out of line. Villian is actually pretty TAG as well, way too tight for his stack, IMO.

I'd raise to 7k. If I'm right, you have about 18k in the pot if he calls. Easy call if he pushes you all in preflop. Push on any flop.
