Default Marginal top pair spot

Villain is 23/18/3.73 over 99 hands. I'm pretty sure I messed up big by not 3-betting the flop. But seeing as I didn't, what's my play on the river?

you absolutely have to at least lead the turn if you're not 3betting.

now that he took the free card I have no clue. I can't figure out how he doesn't have a flush here. is check/fold even possible???

3bet and lead turn.
the way you played i guess a check/call is best.
but seriously, 3bet and lead turn

This is why you 3-bet the flop and lead the turn.

I think you have to check call. He's aggressive... raised on the cheap street, checked the turn, now every thing got there on the river... give him the chance to represent it. If the player is passive maybe bet - fold to a raise?
