Call.

He'll have a baby PP here often. Of course he'll have you crushed a lot too, but them's the breaks.

Also I would check the turn.

I don't think baby pairs play like this often at all. You are basically calling in the hopes of splitting and winning 3 BB. That means he has to be bluffing about 1 in 4. I think far more often he is betting something that beats you.

Fold!

I'd probably check turn and call the river bet.
Most players at 3/6 don't realize that it's a bluff that they bet with a low pair on this board.

This is how I would play QJ/J8 or any 9 on this board, that said, I still probably call 1 on the river

For the people advocating a call on the river, Ithink they are simply relying on the fact that ocasionally you may split this pot, and a tiny portion of the time you might win the pot. I think there are just way too many of combinations of hands that beat us to make this call profitable.

So, although we do sometimes split, or win, I don't think it is nearly often enough.

I check the turn because you have a lot of outs unless he has a T so a CR really sucks. Then its an easy call on the river.
Another reason not to bet the turn is that the J improves a lot of the hands that he would have called the flop with so your fold equity is reduced.

Check the turn w/outs here. I think you'll see a busted draw or conterfieted pocket pair, in addition to the times that you chop here enough at 6:1 to make a call profitable on the river.
