I standard raise 3-4 BB on the 6 max table.
Please clarify: when I read on this forum that a raise should occur does that mean generally 3-4??, 1-2 BB??? and Anyone have a general rules of thumb as to how many BB they use to attempt to take it down/isolate raise. I know this is player/table dependent. |

my standard PFR for .10/.25 is $2. 8bb seems kinda high, but you'd be amazed at how many people will call with marginal hands.

Standard practice is 3-4x BB (in a 1/2 game that translates in $6-$8) plus 1 BB for each limper.
For instance, you are on the button with KK. UTG and CO limp to you. Using the 4xBB standard you should raise to $12 ($8+$2+$2). |
