The villain that raises has weak tightish stats over 490 mined hands. 15/6/1.6. The villain that leads the river is a donk and his bet puts him all in... his stats are otherwise passive though with a post flop agro factor of something like .5
My original river plan after the donk lead was to go for an overcall rather than raise since I don't expect that button is calling a raise with a hand that I beat. But then.. wtf.. button comes alive with a raise?! The weak tightish villain is raising in a protected, unfoldable (by SB) pot when the second J hits the river. I had the best hand here.. but do I have it often enough to call? I've been running bad lately, and guess I saw monsters... sigh. Hero......punches a hole in his monitor.
I wish i could fold right there, because it's probably the right play like, 97% of the time. Good fold... |

i have a general rule that has worked very well.
when 1 player is all in, and you have shown you are going to call and then a player raises behind you, its almost ALWAYS to get you out. i call in these situations very very often...probably near 90% of the time. Barron |

Given the buttons' play throughout the hand, how does that J help him on the river unless he had a flush draw with the J of clubs?
[ QUOTE ] But then.. wtf.. button comes alive with a raise?! [/ QUOTE ] That 'wtf' part? That's why you call for one bet in this big a pot. b |

Only hand I can put button on that beats us is something like AJ [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], which likely caps the flop.
I call and expect to see a Q often. |
