Default Newbie in training.

Hi all. Love for all 2+2'ers. Please critique this hand. I view villain as a good player.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em (NL$400) <font color="#0000FF">(6 handed)</font> link

Hero ($404.30)
CO ($805.90)
Button ($328.85)
SB ($188.40)
BB ($192.00)
UTG ($151.65)

Preflop: Hero is MP with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $12.00</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, UTG calls $8.00.

Flop: ($30.00) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $12.00</font>, UTG calls $12.00.

Turn: ($54.00) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
UTG checks, Hero checks.

River: ($54.00) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $125.00</font>

Huge overbet on the end.

Thanks Malachi. Thought he was trying to steal it. But my gut said he had a FH.

You are either chopping (25% of time) or losing (75% of time). Fold.

Why are you playing $400NL?

I'm not being a snot, I'm asking a serious question. You say you're a newbie in training, and even I know to fold the river.

Raise more preflop, bet a little more on the flop.

Turncheck good, river easy fold.

Your flop bet looks weak. You gotta bet AT LEAST half the pot.
