Default any other way to play it? big pot

Its not often i don't get to cap with AKs. Is there a better way to play this, given that the players are all pretty typical for 5/10?

I fold the turn. One of them surely has a pair already, we could be reverse-dominated, and some of our outs are probably in other players hands.

On the other hand, the odds you are getting are huge, if you give yourself 3 outs it's kinda borderline, so I guess you could argue for a call on the turn too... I still like a turn fold, too many ways to hit top pair and still be in trouble.

I'm probably being generous with raising standards for typical 5/10'ers. E.g. most players would cold-call with the lower range of these hands, rather than 3-bet or cap. So the analysis below is perhaps being rather generous.

I.e. clear turn fold, even the flop is debatable

Board: 2d Jd 7s 8h
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 27.8210 % 26.96% 00.86% { 77+,A9s+, KTs+, QTs+, ATo+, KQo }
Hand 2: 32.3912 % 31.20% 01.20% { 88+, ATs+, KJs+, AQo+ }
Hand 3: 34.3382 % 32.66% 01.68% { 99+, AJs+, KQs, AKo }
Hand 4: 05.4496 % 03.69% 01.76% { AhKh }

Ah, OK, raising standards looser than I thought. Throw in a couple of LAGs and you probably got odds to river top pair in that pot....

Although your turn call was good that time, I still think a fold is better in the long run against typical players.

i completely agree, hense the post. First guy i put on a random hand, first in and all, second either a reasonable PP or A(boardway), thrid guy QQ, TT, KK, AA. I would probably check and called the river, would that have been bad?
