Default 5/10NL, Turned Straight, river play?

5/10NL, full ring. Villain is a fairly regular player, 22/4/2, and nothing special. Somewhat weak. He has ~1775, and I cover.

3 limpers and I complete in SB with 67o, Villain in BB checks.

Flop ($47.50): 893 rainbow

I lead for $30, Villain calls and a limper calls.

Turn ($137): T completing rainbow

I lead for $75 and Villain makes it $275, limper drops, and I think about his hand range here, and put him on 2pr, set, or straight, and call.

River ($687): A

I would 3-bet the turn.

Just curious LA.. do you consider folding if the player pushes over your 3bet? (I'm assuming not but just wondering)

I don't think I could fold to a push if I make it 750 to go on the turn, but I'd feel better about QJ being out of the way with a larger flop bet.

Since we bet out on the flop, I wouldn't fold because he doesn't put us on the straight. He probably has 99 and assumes that he's way ahead of anything we would lead into the field with on the flop - which is why OPs flop bet is really good IMO - I've stacked a lot of people by leading w straight draws as they slowplay sets.

When not that deep, I'm willing to take the chance of going bust against a gutshot.

I like three betting turn too, especiaslly if he isnt the type to only call with a gutshot. J7 isnt really realistic so we only have to be ahead of QJ. I was gonna say pot it, but I really think he has a set, so I'd say checkraise allin to get called by any set. (Hell put you on a straight, lower set or maybe aces up and call). If he would play 2 pair that storngly on turn, and would be afraid of the ace, I lead for 500-pot and fold if he moves allin for the extra 1k (unless he is a big time donk, Im assuming most players would call pot sized bet on river with a set, and never raise)

clear check-raise on river. Probably all-in. There is no way I would be folding this.

I had considered making it $750 or so, but thought that I would lose most hands that I am beating (except a set or straight), and could extract more value on the river. I think that is one area I need to improve in is, 3-betting. But given that I didn't ...

I bet $350 on the river, and he pushes for an extra $1100 or so...

Your bet looks weak. I call.

Sorry if you got stacked.

I tanked and called, thinking that he was the type of player not to call a gutshot, but lost to QJ. The river bet was to induce a call from 2 pr. and a raise from a set. After the hand, I thought that I didn't play it optimally, and was thinking I should check/call the river, but after thinking more, I don't think that is optimal either. I do think 3-betting the turn is a good line, but like I said, that is one thing I need to work on. Some mentioned a river c/r, and I don't know if I agree with that. I would think it allows him to check behind 2 pr, and bet/fold sets a portion of the time, and I will obviously always lose to the nut str8.
