Default Preflop Resteal gone awful 2/4 deepish stacks.

Hero has 800 villain covers. Opp raises from co 6 handed to 14 button and sb call. Original raiser seems pretty loose and has been min raising and raising to 14 often havent really found a line on the difference but he usually min raises from ep and riases bigger in lp to steal. I pot it and only original raiser calls, uhoh. Flop comes Q82 all clubs. I pot it being effectively done with the hand. Another note is villain likes to min raise flop to either see where hes at or take it away later, but I don't feel he'd make that play in a pot thats gotten this big already.

27o not that it really matters here, yeh probably but we both have double the buyin and I'd make the same type of play at 5/10 also so...whatever.

I guess the big question is - what are you trying to accomplish with the flop bet? Looks like you're just betting for the sake of betting. Per your description the villain is fairly agro and he's got position so he's going to fold, what, 20% of the time? The other 80% of the time you just give up? Better to check and fold if that's your plan.
