Villian is an overtight-passive (like 9/5/.89)

I post early, well, cause I'm a moron...

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $2.
UTG calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP1 calls, Hero (poster) checks, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(6 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, UTG calls, MP1 calls, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls, MP1 calls.

I'd raise here. You're probably ahead, so for those times you're ahead go for the chance at 3 bets by raising.

Villian is passive, so he's probably not reraising without the nuts. I'd hate to be 3-bet here because since villian obviously plays incorrectly, you never know when he'll "slowplay" his 66 and 3-bet you for value on the river.

Why is this not a good flop raise? At the cost of maybe knocking out the sb, you have a good chance at getting a free card on the turn.

It'd be an even worse call. Its a raise or fold here IMHO.
