Default ATo UTG, 6max

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Villian has been loose and passive preflop, postflop, a bit passive, but has been almost always slowplaying the flop waiting to raise with a 2pair or a set on the latter streets

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero raises, 2 folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero calls, SB folds.

I can say in full confidence he probably doesn't have it here, in a much similar hand against him, he C/R me in this spot

Turn: (4 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

EDIT - I called here because I want him to bet out on me on the river, if he was betting at me with trash, I didn't want to discourage him

River: (6 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

EDIT - plan was to raise here on a safe card

Final Pot: 8 BB

hows my play? Do you play any different w/o the read?

Why not raise the turn. If you don't think he's got the trips you're probably going to win another bet from him. If he's passive he's probably got something good enough to pay off a raise here.

I dunno about the call, depends on your read , once u hit your 10 I would raise because he obviously doesnt have trips.

Based on your read, it sounds like he's got an 8 or a pocket pair. Your line is good if you think he has nothing (and will fold to aggression) but if he's going to showdown his hand, and it figures to be worse than yours, you should probably raise the turn.

You lost control of the hand by calling on the flop. With the pot being so small, you're just barely above your break even point IF your six outs are live. You could argue a fold here because you have a passive player coming out swinging in front of the PF raiser, and because the pot is small. If you are confident that he doesn't have it, a raise here will probably push out the SB behind you, and you will be able to take a free card on the turn UI. Improved, a turn bet might force him to lay down with eights or a raggedy pocket pair.

I'm a wussie on A/K overs

in general, I would have no problem with an A river in this case obviously

If you think he has an 8 or a PP, you should raise either the turn or the river. If the king could have helped him (ie now you fear KQ or KJ), you should have raised the flop. So yeah something just isn't right here since a raise is certainly in order somewhere during the hand.

Just forwarding what shill said, you can't change your hands range throughout the hand just because of a different card.

Put him on a range, stick with it, play your hand accordingly.
