Default Moving Up in Limits, How far would you go?

I normally play Colorado $2-$5 poker and have played $3-$6 and $4-$8 while traveling. I feel confident in my normal game as well as I have been a consistent winner when ever I have moved up in limits. I am thinking of heading out of town this weekend to either Albuquerue or Vegas to play in a new place and simply just for a mini vacation. I am leaning towards Albq. because of the short drive. They offer $4/8, 10/20, & 20/40 from what I saw on their web-site.

I of course will not jump into $20/40. I am wondering how much of a difference the jump to $10/20 will be. Although not unlimited the bankroll is not going to be an issue for this trip. Would you start at 4/8 and then move up if playing well or pull the cannonball move and dive straight into the bigger game? Also any and all advice welcome on the differences between the lower limit and middle limit games.
