Default Bottom set, LOTS of action, when do you fear a better set?

If there any slowing down at all here?
What do you guys think of the flop cap?

Reads:
SB- complete unknown, he waited for the BB and this is is second hand.
BB - unknown.
UTG - 35/10 typical 2/4 player.
MP3 - fish, 66/20, has shown garbage and doesnt fold much.

Looks perfect to me. If it was set over set, be happy you weren't sitting at a 5/10 NL table with over $5k in front of you. It happens.

It's hard not to lose a lot of money with set-over-set. As someone else said, be glad you weren't at a big no-limit table.

In your case, you have four people in this pot who all seem to be representing a really good hand (given the way the betting has gone). The real question is whether there are three (non-set) hands besides yours that explain the betting. It seems that Ace with a good kicker, A8, etc., explain the behavior. If the Ace had been a 9 instead, then the same betting might be better explained by a set.

I think I might have tried to get another bet in somewhere, probably by capping the turn.

Assuming you have enough hands on MP3 for his stats to be somewhat accurate, then you're not likely facing a set from him since 20PFRers don't limp with 88 or TT. UTG worries me more.

Keep in mind, even if you're up against a bigger set 2/3 of the time, your raises are still break even EV-wise.

Cap the turn, and be aggressive on the river (but dont cap).

I think you are missing value by not capping turn, if someone has an over-set oh well thats the way it goes baby. The action pre-flop increases the chance that your set is good.

I say hero should cap the river unless utg becomes aggressive especially 3 handed with utg trapped inbetween hero and the mad man
