Default Should I have gone AI preflop?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (7 handed) converter

MP1 (t1220)
MP2 (t2800)
Villian (t2685)
Button (t1145)
Hero (t1480)
BB (t1350)
UTG (t2820)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
3 folds, Villian raises to t450, 1 fold, Hero raises to t750, 1 fold, Villian calls t300.

Flop: (t1650) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets t730 (All-In), Villian calls t730.

Turn: (t3110) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t3110) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t3110

Based on prior hands, I was hoping Villian would respond to the mini-raise by going all in, as I had seen him do earlier with pocket queens.

Im not sure that is more +ev than pushing...but commiting your stack with aces cant be bad.

It doesn't matter, he'd have called anyway, and that's what you want, right?
